Easter will be here before we know it! Our annual Easter egg hunt is a favourite tradition of mine, and I’m always on the hunt (pun absolutely intended!) for new Easter egg filler ideas.
Easter egg fillers are a catch-22 for me. I don’t love giving my kids copious amounts of candy, but most non-candy Easter egg fillers are dollar store trinkets that inevitably end up in the garbage. If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you’ll know that those plastic trinkets are the bane of my existence.
To help all of us out, I’ve compiled a list of 49+ non-candy, non-junk Easter egg filler ideas. These ideas are appropriate for toddlers right up to elementary-school aged children (use your discretion – avoid small items for children under 3).
For babies, I skip the Easter egg hunt and fill an Easter basket (you can find ideas for baby’s Easter basket here). I usually include a few plastic Easter eggs in their basket, filled with goodies like cereal, puffs, yogurt melts, or Annie’s bunnies.
